Rules in Tajweed: A Beginner-Friendly Course for Accurate Qur’anic Recitation

This beginner-friendly course introduces the essential rules of Tajweed in a clear, practical, and structured way. It is designed for students who are just starting to learn how to recite the Qur’an correctly and respectfully, with proper pronunciation and awareness of common recitation rules. The course is suitable for new learners, adults returning to study, and anyone who wants a gentle but solid introduction to foundational Tajweed.

Across four weeks, students will learn how to recognize and apply the main rules of Noon Sakinah and Tanween, Meem Sakinah, Madd, and the rules of المثلان والمتجانسان والمتقاربان. Each chapter is taught in a simple sequence so that students build confidence step by step. The course focuses on clear pronunciation, listening carefully, identifying letters and sounds, and practicing with short Qur’anic examples. Students also learn basic adab and safety awareness in Qur’an study, including reading slowly, avoiding rushed recitation, and respecting the limits of one’s current ability.
